iLembe District to benefit from Proudly South African & Enterprise iLembe Partnership
In order to provide a joint vision and mission in relation to the key focus areas for Proudly SA and Enterprise iLembe which include National Pride, Patriotism, job creation through partnerships, trade & investment promotion, & socio economic development; both parties have decided to work together to make this vision a reality.
The relationship between Enterprise iLembe and Proudly South African was formalised by both parties on the 26 November 2011, with the signing of a Co-operation and Teaming Agreement by Ms. Kanyi Gasa, CEO of Enterprise iLembe and Adv. Leslie Sedibe, CEO of Proudly SA.
The aims of the Parties are to work together in order to;
- to respond to the training requirements and needs of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (“SMME”) through enterprise development;
- promote the acquisition and utilisation of South African products and services;
- conduct consumer education programmes regarding South African products and services;
- promoting discussion, research and communication;
- to provide platforms where each of the Parties can derive mutual benefits:
- to develop joint sector specific workshops focussing on enterprise development; and
- to create networking and business interactions for the benefit of Proudly SA members and the iLembe community.
The formation of a Working Committee has been agreed upon with the objectives of fostering and developing ties and co-operation between Enterprise iLembe and Proudly SA.
CEO of Enterprise iLembe Ms. Kanyi Gasa said that Partnerships between stakeholders are crucial in our business. The signing of this Co-operation and Teaming Agreement is a step in the right direction for the Agency as it speaks to our socio-economic mandate. “Through the signing of this collaboration, we look forward to raising our game in facilitating growth in our economy in the years to follow supporting proudly local business, product and services” commented Ms. Gasa.
